An alert reader[1]<\/sup> reports that Steven Milloy has discovered Zbigniew Jaworowski!<\/em><\/p>\n

Startlingly, Milloy concludes that Jaworowski casts doubt on anthropogenic global warming!<\/em><\/p>\n

But that’s not all. Are you sitting down? <\/p>\n

<\/a> <\/a>Fox News got the scoop!<\/a><\/p>\n

Enough of that; my sarcasmic center is saturating.<\/p>\n

Seriously: what’s remarkable about this story is what’s not remarkable about it, viz.:<\/em> the low, low standard of research required by the Junk Tech Fumento Central Science Station (JTFCSSTM<\/sup>)<\/a> complex of anyone who will support the Cause.<\/p>\n

Milloy is a prized hack in this effort, because he is always willing to take any rag of an argument, dry-clean it, embroider it, and hang it out again. I’m particularly tickled by Milloy’s eyewitness account of Jaworowski’s Senate testimony:<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than 20 physico-chemical processes, mostly related to the presence of liquid water, contribute to the alteration of the original chemical composition of the air inclusion in polar ice,\u201d Dr. Jaworowski told Senators.<\/span><\/p>\n

I wonder if Milloy would be embarrassed to learn that Jaworowski never testified, or even left a statement, with the US Senate[2]<\/sup>,<\/a> or that the quoted passage has zero credible science to back it up, including even the short paper Jaworowski cites in support,<\/a> or that Jaworowski’s history of CO2<\/sub> measurement from ice cores is an egregious and inexcusable<\/a> distortion of the actual research,<\/a> or that the atmospheric CO2<\/sub> argument Milloy quotes so admiringly is a bit of transparent flim-flam,<\/a> or that the entire “statement” is a tissue of hokum,<\/a> as dense with falsehood and misdirection as any supposedly scientific document to come down the pike in donkey’s years?<\/p>\n

Nah. Remember — this is Steven Milloy<\/a> we’re talking about. If there is anything capable of embarrassing him, no one has found it yet.
